Home. Isn't that the most special place in the world? I had moved from one apartment to another over the years, but there is no place like home. I decided to buy my first home recently. I didn't know much about home buying. Quite frankly, I was very nervous about making the biggest purchase of my life. I started out by talking to one of my friends who bought her first home couple months earlier. She recommended her realtor, Faye, to me. Faye is a great listener. I told Faye the selection criteria for my home. She emailed me a number of listings the very next day that matched my criteria. When we found my targets, Faye was most expeditious in communicating with the seller's agent, obtaining disclosure information, compiling offers, and advising me on bidding strategies. (Believe me, speed really matters in the Bay Area real estate market.) Faye's knowledge of the local market and expertise as a realtor became very evident to me early on. Once my offer was accepted, Faye arranged house inspection and appraisal the day after. She orchestrated other crucial steps throughout the transaction with great finesse, such as interacting with the loan officer and escrow officer. Faye kept me informed at every step with frequent, prompt calls and detail emails right up to the close of escrow. Faye is very dedicated and very reachable. I know I wasn't her only client, but her attentiveness made me feel that I was her only client.

Faye is very detail oriented and often drew my attention to less ideal things about the house, because I was too engrossed in the euphoria of pending home ownership to notice. Otherwise, I just didn't know what to look for or what to ask as a first time buyer. Faye's experience and negotiation skills help me win small concessions in the transaction, too, even in the Bay Area market.

In summary, the transaction was amazingly smooth and stress free for me over the short 17 day duration because Faye took care of everything and guided me accordingly. Faye help me realize my dream and saved me money and time. I am extremely satisfied with Faye's service and deeply impressed by her speed and expertise. I will definitely work with Faye again in the future should I need to buy or sell a home.
